The state course required for a person to successfully complete in order to apply for a License to Carry a Handgun in Texas. This course is 4-6 hours in length (not including the range portion) and covers applicable state and federal laws, handgun nomenclature, safe handling and storage, and firearm maintenance. There is a classroom portion and a firearms qualification.
